Description
Mozart’s Finale movement from Symphony #23, K. 181 has been arranged for string orchestra. This presto movement is in rondo form. Each time the “A” theme occurs the first violins get a workout in third position. All other parts have been written in first position. Eighth-notes should be played spiccato. Quarter-notes should be articulated with a brush stroke. Fingerings have been added to provide a reference for the Director. The symbol “+4” indicates a fourth finger extension. Optional third violin and piano parts have been included.
