Divertimento No. 1

Description

This arrangement can be performed by a string quartet, quintet, or string orchestra. The first violin part has a short passage in fifth position (measures thirty-four thru forty-two). Except for these measures, the first violin part is in first and third positions. The other parts are in first position with only an occasional shift to facilitate playing, (i.e. measures sixty-three thru sixty-seven for cello). All eight-notes are to be played spiccato. Double-stops can be played together or divided. Fingerings have been added to provide a reference for the Director.
The symbol “+4” indicates an extended fourth finger.
