Description
Zeraim (Hebrew for “seeds”) is scored for mezzo soprano and soprano saxophone with a chamber orchestra consisting of Flute, Bass Clarinet, Hornin F, Cello and Percussion. Zeraimis an extremely complex and technically difficult composition.
The original manuscript score bears the inscription from “The Book of Blessings” after a poem by Zelda. The inscription reads:Each of us has a name, given by the Sea, and given by our death.
