Description
Written for brass instruments (only) and percussion, Fanfare 2000 is a composition heralding the arrival of the millenium.
After a brief full-ensemble introduction, trumpets play majestic-sounding calls leading to energetic responses.
Then follows a broad, singing theme and a return to the majestic calls.
The work concludes with a forceful finale.
All parts must be played crisply, with energy and character. Saxophones are optional and reinforce the French Horns and Tuba.
