Preludium

Description

From the forty-eight preludes and fugues which comprise The Well Tempered Clavichord, this prelude has been chosen to be transcribed for the young concert band. It is one of Bach’s most melodious preludes, very contemplative with many inner voice motions. Originally in the key of Eb minor, it has been moved to D minor where it plays more easily with young performers. The work serves well as an introduction to music of the master composers.
