This arrangement of Winter utilizes the form of a Concerto Grosso. Sections will alternate between a small group of players, “Concertino”, and the full group, “Ripieno”. The Violin 1 Concertino is written as a separate part from the Violin 1 for ease in reading. It represents the solo violin part from the original composition.
