Tower of the Winds

Description

Tower of the Winds is a setting of the orchestral work Horologion of Andronicos (commissioned by conductor Bobbi Mauldin for performance at the Texas UIL music competition). The band version was done by the composer for the State Band of Veracrus (Veracruz, Mexico) and was first performed under the baton of Ruben Flores Hernandez in Xalapa, Veracruz. Tower of the Winds is an exhilarating overture filled with alternating meters, interesting instrumental color combinations, momentum and energy.
