Description
This solo was composed to demonstrate not only the accepted bravura style of trombone performance, but also to highlight the charm of legato playing and to demonstrate the possibility of fast technique when slide positions and lip turns are carefully plotted.
The fact that the work is unaccompanied gives the soloist generous freedom for dramatic and exciting use of range and volume extremes.
