Eternal Father, Strong to Save

Description

This new setting of The Navy Hymn was written in honor of the seven astronauts who died aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia in February 2003. Filled with expression and emotion, this piece may be performed by full orchestra alone or by full orchestra and SATB chorus. The ending includes seven chime tones, one for each astronaut who perished, and a motif from “Taps.” This is a moving tribute to the heroes of our space progam.
